Jason Liu is an award-winning designer with eight years of experience creating culture-shifting brands around the world.
His work has been shown at the Grammys, Good Morning America, the New York Times, and CNN. Jason is also an exhibited visual artist and published photographer.
Jason is based in Brooklyn by way of DC, LA, Shanghai, and Michigan. He attended the University of Southern California, where he majored in Urban Planning and minored in Architecture.

As a child, I fell in love with architecture & the built environment when my parents moved us to Shanghai in 2004. Now, I’ve moved to New York to realize my dreams of practicing art & design in the big city.
For two years, I apprenticed under Chukwudinma Anthony Nsofor, a contemporary painter from Nigeria. He selflessly taught me everything he knew, surfaced years of drawing and painting muscle memory that I had nearly lost, and empowered me to explore my own messages. In 2025, he closed his VA studio and moved home, leaving me to explore on my own.
My art examines our collective humanity through the physical spaces we inhabit and the built environment we move through. I draw on my memories, beliefs, and the wider world to create acrylic paintings that layer in dimension through 3D printed forms and clay. I also explore these themes through digital and physical media. Follow my work here!
